Synyster Gates has written so many of metal’s greatest guitar solos, so it’s hard to pick just one standout from Avenged Sevenfold’s entire discography. That said, this one solo has always been a standout to me. It’s much less virtuosic and technically impressive than a lot of Gates’ other solos, but the emotion and feel is second-to-none.
